All Our Relations

Tribute to the Orca

All Our Relations: Tribute to the Orca is a moving 7-minute film drawing from an Orca Action Month Indigenous-centered event hosted by Se’Si’Le, an Indigenous-led nonprofit organization, in collaboration with Salish Sea and Northern Straits Native Nations and NGOs. The film highlights the powerful voices of regional Indigenous leaders speaking on Indigenous communities' ancient kinship with orcas and salmon, and the importance of reciprocity in our relationship our caretaker: Mother Nature. The film provides a special focus on the Southern Resident orcas whose survival, like the survival of Indigenous lifeways here in the Pacific Northwest, depends on scha’enexw (the Salmon People). Produced in partnership with Se’Si’Le and Save Our Wild Salmon - 2024 - Mark Titus, Director . Patrick Troll, Editor. Orca Footage by Florian Graner.
